Four Winds – Client, Home Owner

The project involves the re-working of a 1940’s bungalow in Sutton which enjoys beautiful views south across Dublin Bay for the 3rd and 4th generations of the same family to live in the house.

Materials and forms are inspired by nearby landmarks – the 1840 Martello Tower, the 1972 St. Fintan’s Church by Andy Devane and the 13th century Chapel of Mone, Kilbarrack, sited within “the Healthiest Graveyard in Ireland”.

The project was selected for a Special Mention at the 2025 Architizer A+ Awards. It also formed part of the Irish Architecture Foundation’s 2024 Open House Dublin event and was featured in the Image Interiors Autumn / Winter 2024 edition and the Elle Decoration UK October 2025 edition.

It has also been published online on various international architecture websites including Architectural Record, ArchDaily and Architizer, and was listed on Archello as one of their 20 selected houses from around the world in December 2024.
