Four Winds Featured on RTE’s Room to Improve

Our Four Winds project featured on Room to Improve, broadcast on RTÉ, as part of a 2026 episode exploring the restoration and reworking of a mid-century family home.

The programme followed the transformation of a 1950s bungalow as it was adapted for a family returning to their grandparents’ home after several years abroad. The project focused on reordering the existing layout, strengthening connections to landscape and light, and creating a home capable of supporting contemporary family life while retaining a strong sense of continuity and memory.

During the episode, presenter Dermot Bannon described the completed house as “pure magic,” capturing the emotional and architectural intent behind the project — a story of coming home, renewal, and careful reinvention.

We would like to thank RTÉ, the Room to Improve production team, and Dermot Bannon for showcasing the project, as well as our wonderful clients for their generosity and trust throughout the process. We are also deeply grateful to the many collaborators whose expertise brought the project to life, including Devine Building Services, Interiors by Caroline, Wink Lighting, Mooneys Kitchens, Vindrvs Windows & Doors, Fitzhenry Joinery, Accoya Wood, Eoin Gibbons (The Constant Gardener), Tim Mallon Electrical, Mullagh Heating & Plumbing, Wogan Build Centre, Metweld, Uniqrete, and Timber Ireland.
