This residential infill project involved the design of two near-identical 100m2 houses for a semi-derelict site on an inner suburban plot. The street, laid out in the late 1800’s, consists of opposing terraces of small but pleasant dwellings. Our proposals invert the established bay-window profile to create a planted privacy screen to the internal spaces, which are as open and permeable as possible to allow the houses open fully to the small courtyard gardens beyond.
Planning permission was granted for both houses in 2025.
