Our Yew Lodge project was featured on Home of the Year on RTÉ in 2022.
Located in Clontarf, Yew Lodge is a new house set within the garden of an existing property. The site is defined by mature surrounding trees, with views towards a nearby church steeple acting as a consistent reference point within the landscape.
The project explores how a new dwelling can be carefully positioned within an established setting, responding to both its immediate garden context and wider surroundings. The design approach focuses on maintaining a strong relationship with the existing landscape while creating a contemporary home embedded within it.
The feature on Home of the Year offered an opportunity to share the project with a wider audience, highlighting the considerations involved in designing a new house within a constrained and well-established suburban site.
