Our Howth Road, Killester project was featured in House & Home Magazine in the July / August 2016 edition.
The project involves the renovation and extension of a house in Killester, Dublin 5, originally constructed as part of Killester Garden Village. A committed intervention was required to transform the existing dwelling into a ‘forever home’ for a young family.
The design approach focused on a sympathetic and carefully considered renovation of the original house, complemented by a contemporary extension to the rear. The new addition was positioned to exploit the uniquely generous parameters of the site while remaining visually acquiescent to the original house when viewed from approach.
Together, the renovation and extension support modern family living while respecting the character and scale of the existing dwelling. The project reflects a broader interest in adapting suburban houses through sensitive intervention rather than replacement.
