KINGS INN STREET

FEASABILITY STUDY

A feasibility study into the proposed addition of 2 / 3 extra floors and 2,500m2 of accommodation to a city-centre building in Dublin 1. The proposals use the rhythm of the original 1907 concrete frame to establish a module for the new accommodation at roof level and above which is carefully designed to complement, but not dominate the quality of the original structure. The proposal envisions a mixed-use arrangement whereby the existing artistic uses and community which have brought so much positive publicity and life to the vicinity of the building are complemented and sustained by the uses contained within the additional floors.

As a result of our work on the project the proposals were favourably received at pre-planning stage by Dublin City Council.
