RE-establishemnt of a protected structure to a family dwelling in the city centre.

Completed in 1882 and originally known as 17 Charleville Terrace, this multi-unit building has undergone a process of adaption, extension, and conservation to bring it back into trigenerational, single family occupancy.

Peeling back later interventions allowed connections in space and light to be formed between the main living areas at entrance and lower ground floor levels while also preserving the original spatial qualities and architectural details of the original rooms.

The project was selected for exhibition as part of the 2024 RIAI Awards and formed part of the Irish Architecture Foundation’s 2024 Open House Dublin event.
