For the 17th year, Brennan Furlong Architects is proud to take part in RIAI Simon Open Door 2026, a charitable initiative organised by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) in partnership with the Simon Communities of Ireland.
As a RIAI Registered Architects practice, we are donating our time and expertise to support this important campaign.
The initiative gives homeowners the opportunity to book a one-hour consultation with a RIAI Registered Architect in their local area. It is designed for anyone considering a home extension, renovation, retrofit, energy upgrade or new build project, and offers a useful first step in understanding what may be possible.
In return for a €125 donation, participants receive professional advice on their home project, including practical guidance on potential options and likely next steps. All participating architects volunteer their time free of charge, and every cent raised goes directly to the Simon Communities of Ireland.
RIAI Simon Open Door is a valuable opportunity to speak with a qualified architect before committing to a larger project. Building and renovating can be complex, and an early conversation can help clarify priorities, unlock a home’s potential, and identify the most effective path forward.
About the initiative
The Simon Communities of Ireland have been providing services and support for people experiencing homelessness in Ireland for almost 50 years.
The RIAI supports and regulates the architectural profession in Ireland, promotes the value of architecture in society, and helps ensure high standards of consumer protection through its register of qualified architects.
Registration is now open.
Members of the public are encouraged to book a consultation with a
RIAI Registered Architect and support the work of the Simon Communities of Ireland at the same time.
