Open House Dublin – Castle Grove

Constructed between 1942-49 these, neighbouring, red bricked, semi-detached dwellings presented a unique opportunity to work with adjoining families to create their forever homes. This quiet residential street located just a short walk from the seafront is a mix of semi-detached and terraced dwellings with a stepped building line. The new first-floor additions are designed to reinforce the established rhythm and character of the existing streetscape. The tour will begin from the pathway at the front of the homes and review the context of the dwellings and the various references which informed the design process, We will continue through into the main living areas of the house on the ground floor and then on out to the rear terrace and garden space.
